Freeze Out is a winter retreat with biblical teaching, authentic worship, high-energy games, and shared experiences. It’s a cold-weather reset designed to connect you with your community and with God. P.S, prepare for snow.

What You’ll Do

Check-in, opening session, breakout groups, night activities.

Cabins are heated, comfortable, and close to the action. After cold days outside, students come back to a warm space where they’re cared for by church leaders and surrounded by their group.

FAQ's

Average daytime temperatures in the Lake Ann area are generally in the mid-20s to upper teens. Plan for snow: students are outside each day, but activities are balanced with warm indoor time. Cabins, sessions, and meals all take place in heated spaces.

Days include a mix of winter activities, sessions, small group time, meals, and downtime. High-energy moments are balanced with warm indoor spaces and time to rest, talk, or recharge with their group.

Students attending with a church or group stay with their group in cabins, during meals, sessions, and activities.

 

This creates consistency, safety, and connection.

 

For campers without a church or group to attend with, we invite them to attend our individual weekends, #2 or #6, where Lake Ann Camp will provide a trained staff member as their cabin leader.

Students should pack warm layers, winter outerwear, closed-toe shoes or boots, a sleeping bag, toiletries, a water bottle, and clothes they don’t mind getting wet or snowy. A full packing list can be found here

Meals are nutritious, filling, and designed to fuel active days. Campers enjoy favorites like pizza, spaghetti, chicken tenders, hamburgers, and homemade cinnamon rolls. Special dietary needs can be accommodated with advance notice.

Yes! We invite campers without a church group to attend our individual camper weekends, #2 and #6, where Lake Ann Camp will provide a trained staff member as their cabin leader.
