CHILDREN’S PRIVACY AND COPPA
Lake Ann Camp is a children’s camp and we take the privacy of minors seriously. Our Site itself is directed at parents, guardians, and adult decision-makers, not at children under 13 directly. Camp registration — including the collection of camper information and health data — is completed by a parent or legal guardian through CampBrain. By completing registration on behalf of a minor, the parent or guardian is consenting to the collection and use of that minor’s information as described in this policy.
If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13 without appropriate consent, please contact us immediately at the address below and we will take steps to delete that information.
DATA SHARING AND DISCLOSURE
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following circumstances:
- Service Providers: With trusted third parties who assist us in operating our Site, processing registrations, or communicating with you (including CampBrain, Google, Meta, and Mailchimp), who are obligated to protect your data.
- Legal Requirements: If required by law, court order, or government authority.
- Safety: To protect the rights, safety, or property of Lake Ann Camp, our staff, campers, or the public.
- Organizational Transfers: In the unlikely event of a merger or transfer of Lake Ann Camp’s operations, your information may transfer to the new organization.
DATA RETENTION
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, comply with legal obligations, and support ongoing camper relationships. Health and medical information collected through CampBrain is retained for each registration season and managed according to CampBrain’s data retention practices.
