From arrival to departure, our goal is simple: for parents and group leaders to feel confident knowing their campers are cared for, supported, and safe — so everyone can fully enjoy a meaningful week at camp.
STAFF SCREENING
Lake Ann Camp is intentional about selecting and preparing staff who care deeply for campers and guests. Every staff member completes a thorough application process, personal interviews, reference checks, and background screening.
Ongoing training reinforces clear expectations around supervision, safety, and care so families can trust their campers are in capable, attentive hands.

TRUSTED MEDICAL CARE
Lake Ann Camp provides on-site medical care throughout the summer, led by a full-time registered nurse, a family doctor, and trained health assistants. Every camper’s health history and medication needs are reviewed prior to arrival to ensure thoughtful, individualized care.
All medications are securely stored and administered according to instructions. Our Health Office is equipped to handle daily medical needs, minor injuries, and common illnesses, and we communicate clearly with parents whenever needed.
If additional care is ever required, we partner with trusted local medical providers and emergency services. From check-in to pick-up, your child’s health and safety remain a top priority.

ABUSE PREVENTION
Lake Ann Camp maintains a zero-tolerance policy for abuse of any kind. Abuse prevention is intentionally approached through screening, training, supervision, and clear reporting systems. Lake Ann Camp complies fully with state mandatory reporting laws. Any suspicion or disclosure of abuse is immediately reported to the appropriate authorities.
All staff members complete extensive abuse awareness and prevention training prior to serving. This includes clear behavioral guidelines, boundary expectations, supervision policies, and testing to ensure understanding before working with campers.
