Lake Ann Camp is designed for youth to experience life at its best, and that is in a growing relationship with their creator God. It is hands down, the best investment that you as a parent can do for your child! However, we recognize that sometimes life throws a "curveball" in the mix of a season where finances or life emergency circumstances can make it literally impossible for families to consider camp as an option for their child because of the cost.
We, at Lake Ann Camp, have a scholarship program designed to help families in these situations as we never want to turn a child away from a summer camp or a retreat experience at Lake Ann Camp. We set aside specific funds every year to help those struggling financially. We want to help in partnering with parents to make summer camp an option for each child. With the scholarship program, we work individually with each family to offer financial support based on a family's need and can also offer affordable payment plans to lessen this financial stress in the goal of giving their child a camp opportunity.
We have designed a scholarship application form that will easily walk you through the initial steps for this process to begin. Once submitted, we will be in contact with you shortly and look forward to partnering with you so that your child will have this special opportunity.
Sandi Diepenhorst - Scholarship Coordinator
A little about Sandi:
Hi there! My name is Sandi Diepenhorst and I have had the privilege to serve at Lake Ann Camp since 2017 as the Scholarship Assistant and Camp Captain Coordinator. Originally from the Holland/Zeeland area, my husband and I moved north to Interlochen, MI in 2015. We have two grown and married sons and most of our family still resides in the Holland/Zeeland area. Yes, I am 100% Dutch! I am sure that my name gave me away!
In all of my working years, I have had the privilege to work with children. Whether it be in my dental (pedontontics) and orthodontic career as a dental hygienist, or being the Children's Director at my church, or working with children with disabilities, I have always had the opportunity to grow children for Christ and it has become my passion to serve in that way. I feel so blessed that God opened the door to work at Lake Ann Camp and that I can continue to play a part in helping churches and families in this ministry where we can make a change eternally in the hearts of those who attend Lake Ann Camp.
My goal here at camp is to "Fill the Beds" because I want all to know about the love and grace of Christ. My hobbies include sailing, biking, traveling, hiking, photography, painting, decorating, gardening, and baking. And yes, we must not forget laughing and being with people!
