YOU MIGHT BE A GREAT FIT IF…

  • You’ve spent at least one summer on staff at Lake Ann Camp
  • You want to grow spiritually through hard, meaningful work
  • You’re ready to take on adult responsibilities and be treated accordingly
  • You want practical skills alongside your faith development
  • You can commit fully to a nine-month residential program

We want to emphasize that this role is largely hands-on and behind-the-scenes. Time as a TEAM intern is unglamorous, but vital to Lake Ann Camp mission.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

TEAM members support the full operation of the camp so that every camper and guest has an excellent experience.

Responsibilities include:

GUEST SERVICES
Setting up camp for incoming programs, supporting retreats, serving meals, and assisting with guest logistics.
OPERATIONS
Maintenance projects, seasonal deep cleaning, waterfront setup and teardown, snow removal, painting, and path and play area upkeep.
PROGRAM SUPPORT
Facilitating retreat activities, working in high adventure, leading challenge course activities if certified, and assisting with office projects as needed.
MISSIONS
Experience a service-based mission experience at another US-based camp. Interns are responsible for raising their own prayer and financial support.
COURSEWORK
Weekly papers and required reading with written reports every three weeks. Deadlines are taken seriously.

CHOOSE AN AREA OF FOCUS

TEAM interns can opt to hone in on a specific area of service

  • Red Canoe: Work as an associate — running the register, making drinks, scooping ice cream, preparing food, and keeping the store stocked.
  • Kitchen: Work alongside our kitchen staff to prepare and serve meals for campers, retreat guests, and staff. Learn food service operations in a high-volume ministry environment.
  • Media: Assist with media capture, run audio/visual for chapel sessions, and learn how to communicate in a ministry-world.

Focus areas are where you will spend a portion of your time, not every moment of your internship.
