HOW TO SEND YOUR CAMPER MAIL DURING SUMMER CAMP
Mail call is one of those camp traditions that never gets old. Somewhere in the middle of the week, when the newness has worn off and the real experience is setting in, a letter shows up with your camper’s name on it. Something about holding a little piece of home has a way of steadying campers during the week.
Ready to send some mail? Here’s how:
Send a letter
Get it in the mail early in the week.
For USPS, address it like this:
Camper Name, Week & Program (ex: WK 4/Juniors)
PO Box 109
Lake Ann, MI 49650
Shipping FedEx or UPS? Use the street address instead:
Camper Name, Week & Program (ex: WK 4/Juniors)
18400 Maple St
Lake Ann, MI 49650
You can also bring letters to drop off at Monday morning check-in, and we’ll get them delivered during the week.
Send an email
Our one-way system lets you send up to 10 messages from home, printed and delivered at lunch each day. Campers can’t reply, but they’ll read every one.
It’s $3 for 10 emails. You can pre-purchase e-mail credits during registration or add them later by calling us. Instructions will be sent out on the Monday of your camper’s week.

Send a care package
Care packages are always a highlight. You’ve got two options:
Mail it using the USPS or FedEx/UPS addresses above. Give it enough lead time to arrive before your camper’s last day.
Drop it off at the mail table during Monday morning check-in. Label it with the camper’s name, week, and program, and your requested delivery date. You can request any day Tuesday through Friday. We make every effort to deliver on the day you choose, and during busy weeks, some mail may be later than requested.
Birthday surprises are always welcome.
What’s worth sending?
Send what will make your camper feel known and cheered on.
A note about what’s happening at home, a funny memory, a little straightforward encouragement. Tell them the dog misses them. Keep it light and forward-looking.
What to leave out: unresolved tension, anything that might make them anxious about home, or an opener that’s more about your missing them than their having a great week. They’ll be home Saturday.
A note for Fresh Start families
Fresh Start campers spend part of their week on a river trip, so mail won’t be delivered while they’re out on the water. Don’t let that stop you from sending something. Everything will be waiting for them when they get back.
Final Note
A letter or package won’t make or break your camper’s week. But if you’ve got something you want to say, say it. They’ll be glad you did.
