Programs Designed For Every Age Group
For Campers Entering 4th And 5th Grade
Junior Camp is designed for campers entering 4th and 5th grade. Rest assured, your little one is in great hands. Lake Ann Camp has met and exceeded every safety requirement since 1948. We take pride in creating a warm, safe environment with clean bunks, excellent washed facilities, and plenty of healthy food. Campers create awesome artwork during handicraft time, pet animals at Acorn Acres barn, and love Octaball. We do warn you of one thing…your camper will definitely be getting wet! Our 175-foot waterslide plummets directly into the beautiful Lake View Lake. Campers even swim before breakfast at the crack of dawn for our polar bear swim. Most importantly, Juniors have a chapel specifically for their age group. Here, speakers help reinforce the teachings of the bible in a fun, high energy atmosphere.
Exclusively For Those Entering 6th Grade
Jump Start is an outdoor adventure camp just for campers entering 6th grade. Campers can get up close and personal with God’s creation on trips to the bog, river walk, Pyramid Point (voted the most beautiful place in the country by Good Morning America), and much more. Campers can even soar through the trees on the Flying Squirrel high adventure activity. Almost everything for Jump Start is done outside, including chapel! Our speakers will teach the importance of making good decisions as your learn about the lives of several biblical characters. After a full day of activities campers sleep in a tamarack tree house! Extras to Bring: Shoes to get wet and strap to your feet, insect repellent, flashlight, rain gear and warm clothes. Shoes, pants and a long sleeved shirt to get dirty in the Bog.
A Week Of Life At Its Best For Those Entering 7th And 8th Grade
One of the major themes of our Junior High Christian summer camp program is teamwork. Campers put the idea of teamwork into action as campers work together on the Zorbs, while organizing Lavinrac, and on a number of other age-specific activities. The night hike is a Junior High favorite, as campers experience God’s creation like never before. And chapel, like everything else, will challenge your young one to not only hear God’s word, but apply it to their life.
Equipping Those Entering High School With The Tools To Stay Strong In Their Faith
Our Fresh Start Christian summer camp program provides first year High-Schoolers with the confidence they need to stay strong in their faith, and get the most out of high school. One of the ways we do this…a three day rafting trip off site. Campers form an unbreakable bond with their group setting up tents, cooking meals, and sharing stories in God’s beautiful creation. They’ll discover how the river is a metaphor for life as speakers help campers grow in their faith. Your campers should be prepared for a fun-filled, wet adventure down the Mighty Pine River! Once back at camp, we put their newfound trust to the test with the Challenge Course and Jacob’s Ladder.
Our Flagship Program
While Senior High is Lake Ann’s flagship, Reborne Rangers is the pinnacle experience Lake Ann has to offer campers entering 10th grade – their freshman year of college. Reborne is an invitation-only camp that takes young leaders and puts them through the paces to prepare them to be impact players in life. The Reborne team is a tight-knit group, who studies together, fights together on the paintball field, and challenges each other to new levels of achievement as they break out of their shell to witness on the streets of Traverse City, Michigan. Reborne Rangers is not for everyone, but for those willing to take on this challenge, in becomes a defining moment in their lives. Young leaders rub shoulders with others like themselves and then sit under the teaching of extraordinary adults who have made their mark in this world. How To Apply: There are two ways to get into this Christian summer camp program. First, your camper’s senior high team from a previous or current summer can nominate them for the program. Or their pastor/youth pastor or youth leader can submit his/her name. Once they’re nominated, we will send an application packet. Upon acceptance, they’ll receive an invitation letter and be cleared to register for their choice week. Only those who are truly serious about life change and impacting the world around them should consider attending.
