Speaker: Dr. Bobby Lewis
Growing up in the foothills of North Carolina, Dr. Bobby Lewis’s earliest memories include time in the woods and on the water. Whether squirrels, rabbits, turkeys, White-tailed deer, or antelope, Dr. Lewis has always been an avid hunter. Although he prefers using a bow, a black powder rifle is also part of his arsenal. Spending time on the boat with family while freshwater or saltwater fishing is another pastime for Dr. Lewis. Although his three daughters did not acquire his love of hunting and fishing, his son, Bo, has been an outdoors companion since childhood. Dr. Lewis became a Christ-follower at age nine and surrendered to full-time ministry in his early 20s. Pastor Bobby earned a Bachelor of Music from The University of North Carolina, an M.Div. in Pastoral Ministry, and a Ph.D. in Applied Theology from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is the former pastor of First Baptist Church in Middleburg, Florida, and Salem Baptist Church in Dobson, North Carolina. In January 2019, Pastor Bobby began serving as the senior pastor of Grace Baptist Church in Knoxville, Tennessee. The Grace family of faith has responded enthusiastically to his giftedness in evangelism, discipleship, and Bible-centered expository preaching. Under his leadership, Grace Baptist Church and Grace Christian Academy have experienced tremendous growth. Pastor Bobby’s heart and vision have shaped Grace to become a place that reaches East Tennessee, North America, and the world for Jesus Christ. He and his wife Cindy have four children (Heather, Holly, Hannah, and Bobby III), two granddaughters, Lucy and Sophia, and a grandson, AJ.
